I have a bunch of shows that I uploaded to the llama back in 2003 and they were not setup to be streamed.

How do I make them stream-able now?

Here's an example:

Thanks,

Easy - Edit item > change the information, make sure "Allow derivatives for files in this item" is selected, and hit Submit. That should do it!

Thanks for your help so far. I followed your instructions for adding streaming however things are not working out for me. Here's what I'm doing...
-Access my uploaded show
-Click Edit Item
-Choose Change The Information
-Check Derivation options
-Choose - Allow derivatives for files in this item [recommended]
-Click submit

However, 'Allow derivatives' was already checked and I get a message after clicking submit that says "No change to derivation rules"

When I go back to the show I still can not stream it.

Any more ideas?
Peace,
Rob

Most times the steps I outlined will make it happen within an hour or so. But if that still doesn't work, you need to derive it manually by going to Edit item > change the information > Item Manager > derive.

a cool little trick I figured out over the course of fucking around w/various media players is
1)get Foobar 2000
2)create a playlist adding the url's of the FLAC files
3)save this playlist to your HD
4)check out the item and upload the playlist

I have not yet experimented with a java applet to support a streaming FLAC player, but if you make a .pls or .m3u w/ the FLAC files from the LMA url's it will stream FLAC files via Foobar 2000

Example:http://www.archive.org/download/umelt2008-09-06.mk-012-01.flac16/umelt2008-09-06.mk-012-01.flac16.streaming.m3u

The main page for this show is -
http://www.archive.org/details/umelt2008-09-06.mk-012-01.flac16

Don't know if that was exactly what you were getting at or if it was of any help.
